I have felt very convicted because I haven't updated our blog for quite awhile. In our ABF Steve was talking about why we don't "need" God during the good times. It made me realize that I hadn't updated everyone on how well everything is going in our family.
Sherrianne is doing Awesome!! Each therapy time her bending has increased and as of Wednesday she has been brace free for three weeks. She's up and down the stairs and scootering and doing some running. We're still not a full power, BUT we are millions of steps ahead of where we were at our 6 week post-op. She's even fallen a couple of times and been okay--granted mother had a heart attack--but the knee and Sherrianne were fine. We go to Iowa City on the 12th for our 8 week check. My hope is that we will be able to discontinue therapy and just let her be a kid.
Mike's mom was here for three weeks in October. We had such an enjoyable time. She taught Sherrianne how to knit and was a great cheerleader for Sherrianne as she was going through her therapy. Mom's sister Pat and her husband Bill also came up. That was the first time that Sherrianne and I got to meet them. It was a lot of fun hearing stories of when the boys were growing up.
The Lord has been so good to us and has blessed us with wonderful people who love and support us. Thank you all so much for walking this journey with us; even through the ugly parts.
We Love all of you!!!!
Wendy
